History
Unity was established in Copenhagen in 2004 by David Helgason, Nicholas Francis, and Joachim Ante. The founders sought to make interactive-content production more accessible to smaller teams and individual creators. Unity's first version was announced at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2005 as a Mac OS X game engine.
