The company was founded in 1960 by Goto Kazuichi as an individual damage insurance agency. In 1965, it was reorganized into a corporation and registered as Kabushiki Kaisha Izumo Hoken. In 1976, it became an agency for life insurance companies and started soliciting life insurance. In 1995, Yuzo Fumita became the second representative director. In 2001, Shozo Matsushima became the third representative director. Currently, it sells insurance products from a total of 18 companies, including damage insurance, life insurance, and small-amount short-term insurance companies.
