Honda Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. is a shipbuilding company based in Tokyo, Japan, with a history dating back to 1924. It is a member of the Exeno-Yamamizu group and offers technical solutions for building oceangoing and domestic vessels. Honda Heavy Industries was established in 1924 as Honda Shipyard at Saiki-cho, Oita prefecture, building wooden ships. It later became Honda Dockyard. In 1943, due to government consolidation, it became Higashi Kyushu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Saiki Shipyard.
