Hassia Sprudel

Hassia is a mineral water brand from Bad Vilbel, Germany. It has been producing mineral water since 1864, starting as a small family business. The brand offers a range of products including mineral water, lemonades, and apple spritzer. Hassia is known for its natural mineral water sourced from the local region.

Hassia was founded in 1864 when wine merchant and fruit wine manufacturer Johann Philipp Wilhelm Hinkel developed a spring on the family property in Vilbel and established a mineral water business. In 1898, his son Fritz Hinkel named the water 'hassia', the Latin word for Hesse. In 1903, Fritz Hinkel had the first sparkling water drilled. Since then, the company has grown from a small family business to a modern brand family.
