In the 1920s, P.F. Harris, an entomologist, developed Harris Roach Chow, a combination of sugar, flour, a special lure, and boric acid. In 1924, two years after its founding, the company tackled a roach infestation at the Calvin Coolidge White House. Today, under new ownership, PF Harris is described as America's oldest EPA-registered company with more than 150 products.
