Overview
Gu Choki Pan is a Japanese bakery in London, founded by Yumiko, who hand-makes every loaf and bun in her home kitchen. The bakery offers a variety of Japanese breads such as melonpan, anpan, and shokupan, using simple ingredients without preservatives.
History
Gu Choki Pan began as a home bake and a post on Instagram. The founder, Yumiko, sold her first bake to a local customer for £10. Later, she set up a small folding table in Ealing at Dickens Yard, where Eat me drink me gave her first break. Today, it is still just Yumiko in her home kitchen, hand-making every loaf and bun, with no factory or team.
