Factorías Vulcano

Factorías Vulcano is a Spanish shipyard that has been building ships since 1919. It specializes in high value-added constructions such as fishing vessels, offshore vessels, 3D seismic vessels, chemical tankers, ferries, and metal substructures. The company has built 223 ships since 1951 and has generated over 25,000 jobs in nearly 100 years of history.

Factorías Vulcano was founded in 1919 when a young Enrique Lorenzo, together with Ludovico Morlón, a Belgian engineer nicknamed 'the Frenchman', established a small workshop for repairing steam boilers in what is now the central Canceleiro street in Vigo, called 'La Vulcano'.
