Overview
Eufy EU (eufylife.eu) is the European regional arm of Eufy, the smart-home and home-security brand owned by Chinese consumer-electronics group Anker Innovations. Eufy was introduced by Anker around 2016 as a dedicated smart-home label, extending the company's charging and audio business into connected home devices. The European site operates as a direct-to-consumer storefront and brand hub for customers in the EU and UK, offering localized pricing, shipping, warranty and support across a range of product families. The Eufy portfolio spans several categories: robot vacuums and cordless stick vacuums under the RoboVac and Clean lines; home security cameras, video doorbells and the local-storage eufyCam and SoloCam systems; smart locks and video smart locks; and small home appliances. Eufy's positioning emphasizes privacy-friendly local storage for camera footage, long battery life, and value pricing relative to premium incumbents. The European storefront mirrors the global Eufy range while adapting to regional requirements such as CE marking, GDPR-oriented data handling and local-language support. Eufy EU is not a separate legal manufacturer; products are designed and manufactured under Anker Innovations, which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The regional site functions as a sales and marketing channel, with fulfilment and after-sales handled through European operations. Because the brand is best known globally through its parent Eufy and Anker, the EU site is best understood as a regional brand extension rather than an independent company. In the smart-lock category specifically, Eufy offers retrofit and replacement smart locks and video smart locks that integrate with its camera and doorbell ecosystem, competing with brands such as August, Yale, Schlage and Aqara. The European range is marketed around easy installation, app control, and compatibility with the broader Eufy Security app.
History
Eufy is a smart-home brand created by Anker Innovations, the Shenzhen-based consumer-electronics company founded in 2011 by Steven Yang. Anker initially built its reputation on charging accessories and later expanded into audio (Soundcore) and smart home. Eufy was launched around 2016 as the group's smart-home label, beginning with robot vacuums and expanding into home security cameras, video doorbells and smart locks. The brand grew rapidly in North America and Europe by combining competitive pricing with features such as local video storage, which appealed to consumers concerned about cloud privacy. Eufy's eufyCam and RoboVac lines became its best-known product families. As the range broadened, Eufy added cordless vacuums, air purifiers and other home appliances. To serve European customers directly, Anker established regional Eufy storefronts, including eufylife.eu, offering localized language, currency, shipping and warranty. These sites sit alongside Anker's broader European distribution through retailers and marketplaces. The European operation is part of Anker Innovations' international expansion, with the parent company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under ticker 300866. In the smart-lock segment, Eufy entered a market long dominated by mechanical lock makers and newer connected-lock specialists. Its smart locks and video smart locks are designed to work within the Eufy Security app and alongside its cameras and doorbells, giving the brand a cohesive ecosystem story. The European range is adapted for regional door hardware standards and compliance requirements.

Controversies
2022
Security camera cloud uploads and unencrypted video streams contradicted privacy promises
In 2022, The Verge and Ars Technica investigated Eufy cameras and found cloud thumbnails and accessible unencrypted video streams, which conflicted with some local-storage and privacy claims. The company later acknowledged the issues and adjusted its statements and encryption approach. This entry is limited to the reported devices and access methods and does not assume that all Eufy products were compromised.
