Entsorgung Herne

Entsorgung Herne is a company founded on 01.01.2003 as an Anstalt des öffentlichen Rechts (AöR) by the city of Herne. It employs around 220 staff and is responsible for waste disposal in the city area of Herne, including the collection of residual waste, organic waste, and paper. It also performs public tasks such as street cleaning and winter service, manages a vehicle fleet, and operates a recycling yard. Since January 2004, it is a member of the regional waste management association EKOCity. In 2015, its subsidiary Wertstoffrecycling eh GmbH was founded.
