Overview

History
E. L. Jones Printers was established in 1947 in Cardigan. The founder, Mr E. L. Jones, served his apprenticeship at the Cambrian News in Aberystwyth and after active service in the Second World War bought the existing print business in Ebens Lane, J C Roberts and Son, which had originally been established in the 1860s. In 1957 the firm was transferred to its present site in North Road, previously used as a bakery by Queens Bakery. The company has seen the printing revolution from hand-setting to linecasting and new technology, and has invested regularly in machinery. It retains old printing relics and offers full graphic design and printing facilities, printing magazines and newspapers such as Gambo and Clebran.
