Comfort Plus was founded in 1992 by Martha O’Neill. She started the company after caring for her aging grandmother, Bessie Shippey, who suffered from negative side effects of incontinence in a nursing home. Martha moved Bessie into her home, attended medical trade shows, and learned about incontinence products. Driven by her experience, she launched Comfort Plus in 1992.
