ZYX Music is a German independent music company. Its founder Bernhard Mikulski started his own company in 1971 at the southern edge of the Westerwald, initially as a pop import business that he continuously developed into an independent sound-carrier distributor. It was renamed ZYX Music in 1992. Since the founder's death in 1997, his wife Christa Mikulski has led the company group, which includes its own distribution, a logistics center and music publishing houses. The ZYX Music brand is known for its Italo Disco and Euro Dance repertoire, and the company controls large music catalogs such as Discomagic and Media Records, offering products in nearly all known music genres.
