Zugersee Schifffahrt

Zugersee Schifffahrt is a shipping company operating on Lake Zug in Switzerland. It offers various boat trips, ship rentals, and gastronomic experiences on the lake.

The Dampfschiffgesellschaft was founded, and with the first steamship in 1852 and the establishment of bathing establishments (1882 Seeliken in Zug), the use of the lake for leisure and sport began. Later, the Vierwaldstättersee gave up shipping on Lake Zug, and Zug took over and founded the Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft für den Zugersee. The operation management passed to the Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe, which officially received its name in 1951. From the Dampfschiff Gesellschaft, the current Schifffahrtsgesellschaft für den Zugersee AG (SGZ) emerged.
