zolar

zolar is a German online provider of photovoltaic (PV) systems for homeowners. The company operates a digital platform through which customers can configure and purchase complete solar solutions — including rooftop PV systems, balcony power plants (Balkonkraftwerke), wallboxes for EV charging and solar battery storage — and be matched with vetted local installation partners from the zolar installer network. Its model combines an e-commerce-style online purchasing journey with a nationwide network of certified crafts businesses, so that customers receive tailored quotes and on-site service from regional specialists. According to its website, zolar positions itself as a one-stop PV provider: customers can obtain non-binding offers with a few clicks, and the company emphasises local expertise, experienced and vetted tradespeople, and customised solutions for maximum efficiency and savings. The installer network spans Germany, with partner firms such as Volt Energie GmbH, Schönenergie and Zenrise GmbH cited as examples of regional specialists offering consulting, installation and after-sales service. zolar is headquartered in Berlin and has been described as a German online PV systems provider. It operates primarily in the German market, where demand for residential solar has grown strongly amid the energy transition. The company has been covered by press, comparison portals and blogs, reflecting its visibility in the German residential solar segment. In a notable structural development, zolar's installer services business has become part of Sollit, described on the zolar site as a leading platform for installers in the energy transition. This indicates that zolar has separated or transferred its installer-facing operations while continuing to serve end customers seeking solar solutions.
