Overview

Znojemská dopravní společnost - PSOTA, s.r.o. is a bus company providing regional lines within the Integrated Transport System of the South Moravian Region (IDSJMK), as well as long-distance lines, tours, and tourist trains in Znojmo.

History

The roots of the current company date back to 1990, when Karel Psota st. founded the company Karel Psota Autoexpres. It started operations with one bus of the type Škoda ŠD-11. In 1991, another bus was added and lines to Brno and Prague were introduced, initially with only one connection each. In 1992, a contract was signed and regular transport for the Dukovany nuclear power plant began. The company expanded with four more buses and additional employees, and a transport office was opened at Rudoleckého 25 in Znojmo. Transport on regional lines Znojmo – Hatě and Znojmo – Miroslav – M. Krumlov was started without any subsidies. In 1994, due to the growth of the vehicle fleet and the need for service facilities, the technical base of Agrostav, a.s. in Dobšice near Znojmo was leased.
