The company was founded by hair designer Young-soo Park, who started with the concept of 'the user is the maker' and continues to create tools that are truly easy to use. History
Y.S.PARK Professional was established as a company on February 14, 1987 (Showa 62). The company name was changed to Y.S.PARK Professional in 2002. In 2024, Tatsuya Namiyaku became the representative director and president. The founder, Young-soo Park, opened the first Y.S.PARK beauty salon in Daikanyama, Tokyo in 1980, and began developing cosmetics and tools in 1982. The first product, a pomade, was released in 1984. In 1988, the company introduced the world's first 'concept shampoo' that is selected according to hair quality and style. In 1992, the world's first brush with air holes was announced. In 1994, comb sales began and the company received the Good Design Award from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
