Yokohama OIL & FATS Industry Co., Ltd. is a Japanese company established in 1929 in Nishi-ku, Yokohama. Its business spans automotive chemicals, building maintenance and air-conditioning chemicals, industrial cleaning chemicals, precision cleaning, functional foods, cosmetics and online retail. The company's Linda brand covers automotive cleaning and wax products, and it has expanded internationally with subsidiaries and affiliates in South Korea, Taiwan and China, and exports to the United States and Thailand.

Yokohama OIL & FATS Industry was established in 1929 (Showa 4) at 1-1 Minamiasama-cho, Nishi-ku, Yokohama. In the Showa 10s it operated as a fish oil company, developing and researching fish oil, hardened oil and lamp oil, and manufacturing drying oil, liver oil and hardened oil. In the Showa 20s it shifted its own-brand base to soap and detergent manufacturing and produced many products as a cooperating factory for Shiseido. In 1962 a continuous deodorization unit was completed at the Yokohama plant and shortening production began, strengthening the edible oil division. In 1969 a food additive facility was completed, entering the food industry products field, and its proprietary release oil gained high quality evaluations for both commercial and home baking use. In 1983 it decided to halt operation of oil refining facilities as the surrounding area became residential, and in the same year entered the nutritional supplement health food field, launching a dietary fiber cookie in 1985. In 1966 it succeeded in developing detergent and wax products using surfactant application technology that surpassed imports, becoming the first domestic product; Linda brand products include special detergents for automatic washing equipment, waxes, engine room cleaners, floor cleaners for maintenance shops and car cleaning system products. In 1984 it established a precision cleaning chemical plant, entering precision equipment cleaning for optical and medical uses and IC/LSI cleaning. In 1988 it entered the LCD field, developing CFC-alternative LCD cleaning agents. In 2000 precision cleaning semi-clean began selling resist isolation agents, expanding from cleaning to photolithography. In 2006 it began exploring the hard disk (HDD) and solar cell fields. In 1988, as the LCD industry semi-clean market expanded and customers moved from Japan to South Korea and Taiwan, it established local corporations for stable supply amid increasing exports. In 1999 it established the joint venture Hoemyeong Semi-Clean in South Korea, and in 2003 established Yokohama Precision Chemical Co., Ltd. in Taiwan. In 2009 it established Linda International Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in China and began preparations for a Changzhou plant. In 2003, ahead of the coenzyme Q10 boom, it succeeded in developing a coenzyme Q10 emulsion that can be incorporated into beverages. In 2007, with exports to Taiwan (box oil) and the United States (coenzyme Q10 formulations) beginning, it exhibited for the first time at Supply Side West 2007 in Las Vegas, and in 2008 exhibited at Fi Asia China 2008; in 2009 it began exports to Thailand (coenzyme Q10 formulations). In 2011 it established Yokohama Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. in Changzhou, China, and in 2013 established Yokohama Oil & Fats Technology Co., Ltd. in Tianjin, China. In 2012, based on 85 years of experience, it entered the cosmetics industry, launching Mukuroji cosmetics, emu oil and SPRING FIELDS.
