Yokohama Financial Group

Yokohama Financial Group is a Japanese financial holding company established in 2016 as Concordia Financial Group through a share transfer between Yokohama Bank and Higashi-Nippon Bank. It is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and is headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo. In 2025 it changed its name to Yokohama Financial Group and formulated a new medium-term management plan.

In 2014, Yokohama Bank and Higashi-Nippon Bank announced a basic agreement to consider a management integration. In 2015, they announced a final agreement on the integration through a share transfer, and the share transfer plan was approved at extraordinary shareholders meetings of both banks. In 2016, Concordia Financial Group, Inc. was established and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange; a shareholder benefit program was introduced and a fiduciary duty declaration was formulated. In 2017, a corporate governance basic policy was formulated. In 2018, the group agreed to acquire shares of P.T. Bank Resona Perdania and to cooperate with Resona Bank in international business. In 2019, it acquired shares of StormHarbour Securities and endorsed the TCFD recommendations. In 2020, it established a sector policy and formulated long-term sustainability KPIs. In 2021, it formulated carbon neutrality targets. In 2022, it moved forward the target date for achieving carbon neutrality to 2030 and updated its long-term vision to 'a solution company rooted in the community, chosen as a partner walking together with the region.' In 2023, Yokohama Bank made Kanagawa Bank a consolidated subsidiary. In 2025, L&F Asset Finance became a consolidated subsidiary, a new medium-term management plan was formulated starting 'three years leading to a leap into the future,' and the company changed its name to Yokohama Financial Group, Inc.
