Overview
YIDO (Korean: 이도, formally 주식회사 이도 / YIDO Co., Ltd.) is a South Korean integrated clean-tech company founded in 2014. It describes itself as an "integrated clean-tech enterprise" that spans the full breadth of AI infrastructure — solar power, wind power, biogas, BESS (battery energy storage systems) and data centers — together with waste resource circulation, aiming to build a sustainable infrastructure ecosystem that combines energy efficiency with resource recycling. The company organizes its business into four pillars: Clean-tech, AI Infrastructure, Infrastructure, and Real Estate. Under Clean-tech it operates waste treatment and resource-circulation businesses, growing into a specialist in the waste-processing field. Under AI Infrastructure it develops renewable energy projects in solar, offshore wind and biogas, contributing to renewable energy, net-zero and RE100 goals. Under Infrastructure it manages and operates private-investment expressways, public infrastructure and highway rest areas. Under Real Estate it pursues strategic principal investment, development, PM, LM, FM, investment advisory and consulting across commercial and corporate real estate assets. YIDO reports a nationwide footprint of 143 business sites, broken down as 13 clean-tech sites, 3 AI-infrastructure sites, 36 infrastructure sites and 88 real estate sites. Its history page documents a rapid expansion of infrastructure operations — expressway and tunnel management, rest areas, logistics, golf and hotel assets — alongside renewable energy project development such as a 50 MW solar project on reclaimed salt farmland in Dangjin, a 400 MW offshore wind initiative in Ongjin, Incheon, and biogas projects in Jeju and Gangneung. The company positions itself around a "Value-Up Platform," seeking to identify undervalued assets and maximize their value through integrated operation and management, supported by an in-house finance function for direct and indirect investment, business feasibility analysis, investment structuring and financing. It also cites ICT-based solutions and a PMIS (project management information system) as differentiating capabilities. On the financial side, YIDO states that between 2017 and 2022 it achieved a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 29.4% in revenue and 40.0% in operating profit, with revenue rising from KRW 52.1 billion to KRW 240.4 billion and operating profit from KRW 3.2 billion to KRW 21.6 billion. It set a 2024 target of KRW 478.2 billion in revenue and KRW 63.4 billion in operating profit. The company also highlights ESG activity, including social contribution programs for young golfers, periodic ECO campaigns with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), and the issuance of KRW 20 billion in green bonds in November 2022 in recognition of its ESG performance. Recent news items on its website include a plan announced in June 2026 to split the company into three entities through a spin-off, described as a step toward a re-evaluation of corporate value; the completion of permitting for a 70 MW solar project in Dangjin targeting commercial operation in February 2027; and a 50 MW AI data center initiative announced in January 2026 to expand its energy value chain. Vice Chairman Choi Jung-hoon was selected for an Asia Golf Power People list for a fourth consecutive year in April 2026.
