YFE TV

YFE TV (also known as yourfamily) was a German pay-TV channel dedicated to children's and family programming. It was launched on 5 November 2007 by Your Family Entertainment AG, a company active in film rights trading since 1999. The channel broadcast around the clock from Munich and initially was available only via the KabelKiosk platform. On 28 October 2008 it was added to the Unitymedia platform, and later it became available through Kabel BW (Germany), Swisscom (Switzerland), 3 (Austria), UPC (Austria) and other platforms. The programming mix included educational formats for preschoolers, animated series for children, and entertainment shows for the whole family. The channel positioned itself as content-driven and drew on its own licensed television content for children, youth and families, such as Fix & Foxi, Urmel aus dem Eis, Geschichten aus der Gruft and Hardy Boys. On 19 November 2010, yourfamily won the Hot Bird TV Award 2010, supported by satellite operator Eutelsat in cooperation with the European film festival Eurovisioni and the trade fair Sat Expo. YFE TV ceased broadcasting without replacement on 30 November 2014. On 1 December 2014, the television channel Fix und Foxi took over the former YFE TV slots. The channel is no longer active.
