Overview

YCP Holdings is a Singapore-based international investment holding and consulting group whose activities combine management advisory, specialist solutions, and principal investments. The group originated in Japan in 2011 as Yamato Capital Partners, founded by Yuki Ishida after his experience in Goldman Sachs Japan's Asian Special Situations Group. It subsequently developed an international structure, moving its holding-company base to Hong Kong in 2013 and establishing YCP Holdings (Global) Limited in Singapore in 2021. The company's business is organized around three broad areas. Management services provide strategic and operational support to companies, with capabilities associated with cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, digital transformation, sustainability, and organizational or performance improvement. This business has operated under the YCP brand and, previously, the YCP Solidiance brand. YCP Auctus is another management-services brand within the group's platform. Solutions services address more specialized business requirements, including digital transformation, interactive solutions, sustainability solutions, and supply-chain-related work. Principal investments involve the ownership, development, and management of businesses in selected sectors, including personal care, pet care, and other strategic investment areas. YCP expanded through a sequence of local incorporations, acquisitions, mergers, and business integrations across Asia and other regions. Early developments included the creation of entities in Singapore, China, Thailand, and Hong Kong, followed by the establishment of a pet-care investment platform and the acquisition of Strategic Decision Initiative in 2016. In 2018, the group acquired Solidiance Asia Pacific, broadening its consulting footprint across Asia, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and other markets. Later transactions included the acquisition of Auctus Advisors in 2022, Consus Global in 2023, and the integration of Shenkuo in 2024. The group also completed the sale of SOLIA in December 2024. A significant corporate milestone came on December 21, 2021, when YCP Holdings' Japanese Depository Receipts began trading on the Growth Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, then known as the Mothers market. The JDR structure represents foreign shares through Japanese trust beneficiary certificates, with the company's common stock held as the underlying trust asset. The listing provided a Japanese public-market presence while the holding company remained based in Singapore. YCP Holdings describes itself as an Asia-focused group with a global operating footprint. Its offices and teams have been located in cities including Singapore, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, several Indian cities, Dubai, Amsterdam, Paris, and locations in North America. The organization is led by founder Yuki Ishida as director and group chief executive officer, supported by regional managing partners, divisional leaders, and a board that includes independent and non-executive directors.

History

YCP Holdings was founded in August 2011 in Tokyo as Yamato Capital Partners. Its initial focus was investment activity, but the organization developed into a broader international holding and advisory group. YCP Product was established in 2013 and later became SOLIA, while a Singapore operating company was created the same year. YCP also established an investment and consulting entity in Shanghai. In November 2013, YCP Holdings Limited was established in Hong Kong and the group adopted a holding-company structure. Additional entities followed in Thailand and Hong Kong. In 2014, YCP established a pet-care investment vehicle, YCP Lifemate, to manage veterinary hospitals and related businesses. Ishida became director and group CEO after the Hong Kong holding company was established. The group expanded its advisory capabilities through acquisitions. In 2016 it acquired Strategic Decision Initiative and combined that business with YCP Japan. In 2018, YCP acquired Solidiance Asia Pacific, a Singapore-based consulting business. Solidiance's network and subsidiaries broadened YCP's presence across Asia and other international markets. The management-services business subsequently operated under the YCP Solidiance name, later shortened to YCP. A Taiwan branch and a Netherlands entity were added in 2019. YCP Holdings (Global) Limited was incorporated in March 2021. On December 21 of that year, the company completed a Japanese Depository Receipt listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The listing used the exchange's Mothers market, which was later renamed the Growth Market, and represented the company's foreign common shares through JDRs. The group continued to broaden its solutions platform in 2022 by forming sustainability, digital transformation, and interactive solutions divisions and partnering with RIMM Sustainability. It also acquired Auctus Advisors Private Limited. In 2023, YCP acquired Consus Global and created a supply-chain solutions division. In April 2024, Shenkuo was integrated as a wholly owned subsidiary. In December 2024, YCP completed the sale of SOLIA. YCP Holdings' present structure combines management services, solutions services, and principal investments. The group serves clients and manages investments across a network centered on Asia but extending to North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Its stated capabilities include cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, sustainability, interactive solutions, and supply-chain support. Its investment interests have included personal care, pet care, veterinary services, and other strategic sectors.
