History
WRB Enterprises began as a Caterpillar Tractor dealership in 1952, when Joseph L. Rozier moved his family from the Midwest to Florida with the expectation for growth and opportunity, based on hard work, trustworthy relationships, and the commitment to always do the right thing. G. Robert Blanchard, Sr., Mr. Rozier's son-in-law, assumed responsibility for the company as it evolved to include a variety of enterprises, all maintaining the same core values and beliefs: What's good for business is good for people, the community and the environment. In 1969, WRB Enterprises, Inc. was founded as a holding company. In 1982, Blanchard Machinery Company was founded and later spun off to Joseph Blanchard in 2003. Also in 1982, Turks and Caicos Utilities was formed and later sold in 2014. In 1984, WRB became a charter shareholder of Bank of Tampa, and in 1988, a charter shareholder of CentreState Banks. In 1990, Turks and Caicos Environmental Services (water desalination) was established, and in 1990/1993, Turks and Caicos Television and WIV Cable Television were acquired and later sold in 2014. In 1994, WRB was chosen by the Government of Grenada as strategic partner for the privatization of Grenada Electricity Services (Grenlec). In 2004, Dominica Electricity Services (Domlec) was acquired and later sold in 2014. In 2013, WRB Energy was founded as a renewable energy development firm. In 2014, WRB Serra was founded as a renewable energy, energy efficiency and water infrastructure investment firm, and WRB Resources (land and water management company) was spun off to William Blanchard. In 2015, WRB broke ground on a 28MW Jamaican solar project, the largest solar project in the Caribbean. WRB Enterprises is a family-owned, privately held company with businesses focused on clean energy production, integrated utility operations, and community investments.
