Wiadomości Telekomunikacyjne

Wiadomości Telekomunikacyjne (literally 'Telecommunications News') is a Polish monthly technical journal aimed at employees of telecommunications companies. It is an organ of the Stowarzyszenie Elektryków Polskich (Association of Polish Electrical Engineers, SEP) and is currently published by Wydawnictwo SIGMA-NOT. The magazine traces its origins to 1932, when it appeared as Wiadomości Teletechniczne, initially a supplement to Przegląd Teletechniczny intended for technicians and installers. It became an independent periodical of the Stowarzyszenie Teletechników Polskich (Association of Polish Telecommunication Engineers) in 1935. In 1939 the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers became the publisher and the journal adopted its present title. After the Second World War the publishing landscape changed: in 1950 the publisher became Wydawnictwo Czasopism Technicznych NOT. Between 1956 and 1959 the journal was published under the title Tele-Radio, and it was liquidated in 1959. It was reactivated in 1961 by Wydawnictwa Komunikacji i Łączności as a journal of the Ministry of Communications for the technical personnel of enterprises under its authority. Since 1992 it has been published in a joint issue with Przegląd Telekomunikacyjny. The journal serves the Polish telecommunications engineering community with technical articles, industry news and professional information, and it remains associated with the SEP and the SIGMA-NOT publishing house.

Wiadomości Telekomunikacyjne began in 1932 as Wiadomości Teletechniczne, initially a supplement to Przegląd Teletechniczny intended for technicians and installers. It was reactivated in 1961 by Wydawnictwa Komunikacji i Łączności as a journal of the Ministry of Communications for the technical personnel of enterprises under its authority. Since 1992 it has been published in a joint issue with Przegląd Telekomunikacyjny. The journal is currently published by Wydawnictwo SIGMA-NOT and remains an organ of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.
