Western Mountaineering

Western Mountaineering is a brand that produces ultralight sleeping bags and down apparel. The company was founded more than 50 years ago by two Northern California mountaineers with the goal of building the finest sleeping bags possible. Every sleeping bag is made by hand in their San Jose, California factory. They emphasize quality, thoughtful design, and attention to detail, using ethically sourced goose down and proprietary shell fabrics developed with mills in Japan and South Korea.

More than 50 years ago, two Northern California mountaineers set out with a simple but uncompromising goal: to build the finest sleeping bags possible.
