Werner Bosch Orgelbau

Werner Bosch Orgelbau GmbH is an organ building company that has been active nationally and internationally for 80 years. They design, construct, manufacture, and voice organs, and also maintain, repair, renovate, restore, and reconstruct existing organs. The company is currently led by Martin Bosch.

Werner Bosch returned from war captivity to Kassel in 1945 and began repairing organs. The first new organ was built in 1946. In 1948, 15 employees were employed, and by 1951 the workshop moved to a new location in Kassel with 34 employees. In 1954, W. Bosch bought a property in Sandershausen and moved workshop and office there in 1955. The 100th organ was built in 1956, opus 200 in 1959, opus 300 in 1963, and the 500th organ in 1969 in St. Louis/USA. Opus 700 was built in 1977, opus 800 in 1987, and opus 900 in 1999. Bosch organs have been built in 26 countries, especially in the USA, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, and Scandinavia.
