Weichai Lovol Heavy Industry

Weichai Lovol Smart Agriculture Science and Technology Co., Ltd., commonly known as Weichai Lovol, is a Chinese enterprise whose main business is agricultural machinery, headquartered in Weifang, Shandong Province. It is one of the seven core business segments of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and describes itself as China's leading smart-agriculture overall solutions service provider. Its harvester and tractor businesses have maintained industry-leading positions for many consecutive years, and it is one of the few domestic brands able to provide a complete mechanization solution for modern agriculture. It focuses on two strategic businesses: intelligent agricultural machinery and smart agriculture.

The predecessor of Weichai Lovol Smart Agriculture Science and Technology Co., Ltd. was the Weifang Harvester Factory established in 1998 by Beiqi Foton. In 2004, after Foton divested its agricultural machinery business, Foton Heavy Industry was established with Hebei Xuangong as the main investor. It is currently a controlling subsidiary of Weichai Power, and its actual controller is Shandong Heavy Industry Group, controlled by the Shandong Provincial SASAC. Weichai Lovol is described as the largest agricultural machinery enterprise in mainland China, maintaining industry-leading market shares in products such as tractors, wheat harvesters, and corn harvesters.
