Wear Moi

Wear Moi is a dancewear brand founded in 1992 by Christophe Ridet, a former professional dancer, together with Élisabeth Ridet. The brand's official history states that Christophe began creating custom dancewear for his company before retiring from dancing in 1992 to dedicate himself to garment design, at which point Wear Moi was officially founded. The brand's online store offers women's leotards, tights, and men's dance playsuits, including collections such as Atelier des Fleurs, Ecrin Bleu, Illusion, and Allure, and states that it ships worldwide.

According to Wear Moi's official history page, Élisabeth and Christophe Ridet began their careers as professional dancers. Élisabeth trained with the Jeune Ballet de France before performing with the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, while Christophe joined the Ballet Théâtre du Silence and later the Ballet de Tours before becoming a member of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo. Christophe began creating custom dancewear for the company, and what started as a way to dress his partner became a business. In 1992, Christophe retired from dancing to dedicate himself to garment design, and Wear Moi was officially founded. The page states he then moved to the Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, and that the couple later went to London, Berlin, and eventually back to France, before settling in Chicago.
