WE-EF Lighting

WE-EF is a German manufacturer of high-performance outdoor luminaires, founded in 1950 in Bispingen, Lower Saxony. It grew from a small family business into a globally operating manufacturer of outdoor lighting with a global network of partners, and its professional luminaires are used in urban spaces as well as in architectural lighting. In January 2017 all shareholders and joint venture partners of WE-EF decided to join the Swedish Fagerhult Group, with WE-EF to be retained as an independent brand; the transaction was expected to close in the first quarter of 2017, subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office. The WE-EF Group includes the head office in Bispingen and Plant 2 in Neuendorf im Sande, as well as joint ventures in France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the USA, Thailand and Australia.

Stephan Fritzsche and Thomas Fritzsche remained managing directors of WE-EF Leuchten GmbH at the Bispingen head office and of WE-EF Lighting Co. Ltd. in Thailand respectively, and Stephan Fritzsche was additionally given the position of managing director of the WE-EF Group.
