Watan News Agency

Watan News Agency (وطن للأنباء) describes itself as an independent news website that seeks to provide national, democratic media. It presents itself as part of a media group comprising "Watan TV, the Watan Media Center, and Watan TV Production." The site states that it covers developments related to the Palestinian cause — political, economic, rights-related, cultural, and sports — as well as issues tied to what it calls its constants, such as refugees, the right of return, prisoners, Jerusalem, and resistance to the wall. It says it covers these through an electronic TV corner (web.tv) alongside news and image-supported analysis. It also states aims of becoming a credible reference on the Palestinian cause, the history, culture, and civilization of its people, and of building bridges with Palestinians in the diaspora. It offers audio-visual content via www.wattan.tv and an email newsletter service, and it says it maintains a space for audience comments and feedback.

It says it covers these through an electronic TV corner (web.tv) that it describes as unique to it, alongside news and image-supported analysis. It also states aims of developing the site into a credible reference on the Palestinian cause and the history, culture, and civilization of the Palestinian people, and of building bridges with Palestinians in the diaspora and highlighting their conditions and news. It further states that it maintains a space for audience comments and interaction and measures feedback on Palestinian affairs, and that it believes in the dialectical relationship between the national and the democratic, positioning itself as distant from factional pulls and attempts to impose opinion arbitrarily while adhering to the nation and the cause.
