Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge Service Erfurt

Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge Service Erfurt is the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealership and service operation of the Glinicke Automobilgruppe in Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia, Germany. It is located at Hermsdorfer Straße 2 in the 99099 Erfurt district and operates as a franchised sales and aftersales point for Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge, the commercial-vehicle division of the Volkswagen brand. The site combines new- and used-vehicle sales, a workshop, and a parts department under one roof, serving business customers, tradespeople, and private buyers in the region. The dealership presents the full range of Volkswagen commercial vehicles, from the compact VW Caddy to the large VW Crafter, with the VW Transporter also prominently offered. Customers can compare available models and choose between outright purchase, leasing, and financing. The workshop handles technical inspections, tyre changes, and repairs, and the parts department supplies original components. Opening hours cover Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, with online appointment booking available. As part of the Glinicke Automobilgruppe, a German automotive retail group with multiple locations, the Erfurt operation benefits from group-level purchasing, training, and service standards. The business is a private, franchised retail and service entity rather than a vehicle manufacturer; its identity is tied to the Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge brand it represents and to the Glinicke group that operates it. It serves the Erfurt market and surrounding Thuringia region, where commercial vehicles are used for trades, logistics, and family transport.

Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge Service Erfurt is a franchised Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealership and workshop operated by the Glinicke Automobilgruppe in Erfurt, Germany. Its history is tied to two larger stories: the expansion of Volkswagen's commercial-vehicle business and the growth of the Glinicke automotive retail group in central Germany. Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge (VW Commercial Vehicles) is the commercial-vehicle division of the Volkswagen brand, known for models such as the Transporter, Caddy, and Crafter. In Germany, Volkswagen sells and services these vehicles through a network of independent franchised dealers, many of which are family-owned or regional retail groups. Glinicke Automobilgruppe is one such group, with multiple dealership locations across Germany. The Erfurt site at Hermsdorfer Straße 2 operates as the group's Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge point for the Thuringian capital. The Erfurt operation combines sales, workshop, and parts functions. Sales staff advise business and private customers on vehicle selection and on purchase, leasing, or financing options. The workshop performs inspections, tyre service, and repairs, while the parts department supplies original components. The dealership's opening hours and online appointment booking reflect a modern retail format designed for commercial customers who need minimal downtime. No specific founding date for the Erfurt site is given in the available sources. Its Wikidata entry identifies it simply as the Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge service of the Glinicke Automobilgruppe, confirming its status as a group-operated service location rather than an independent manufacturer or brand. The business remains active and serves the Erfurt region.
