Vibrarecords

Vibrarecords is an Italian independent record label, music distributor and specialist retailer focused on hip hop and black music. It was founded on 18 September 1998 in Verona by Andrea 'DJ Zeta' Zanetti and Fabio as Italy's first record shop dedicated exclusively to hip hop music and DJ equipment. In 2000 the company launched its website as an information hub and e-commerce platform, which within a couple of years became a reference mail-order service for Italian hip hop fans. During the early 2000s Vibrarecords distributed albums exclusively for artists such as Bassi Maestro, Club Dogo, Inoki, Esa, Yoshi, CdB, La Creme and Fritz da Cat. In November 2003 it officially became a record label, and over the following five years it produced, in partnership with The Saifam Group, albums by leading Italian hip hop acts including Bassi Maestro, Fabri Fibra, Uomini di Mare, Club Dogo, Dj Shocca, Mondo Marcio, Nesli, Mistaman, Stokka & Madbuddy, Amir and Microspasmi. Distribution was handled by Self Distribuzione. Many titles from its catalogue remain in print and in distribution. The label celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023 with limited-edition merchandise and reissues. Vibrarecords operates as a private company, selling physical music formats (LP, CD), apparel and DJ-related items through its online store, and continues to serve as a hub for Italian hip hop culture.
