Overview

Vermessungsbüro Bolter & Schösser ZT OG is an Austrian civil engineering surveying firm based in Bludenz, Vorarlberg. Operating under the motto "Präzise. Zuverlässig. Vielseitig." (Precise. Reliable. Versatile.), the office provides surveying services to private clients, municipalities and public bodies. Its roots go back to 1949, when Dipl.-Ing. Theodor Rümmele founded the firm. After his death in 1975 the office was continued by Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Günther Schelling and taken over the same year by Dipl.-Ing. Peter Bischofberger. In 1999 Dipl.-Ing. Brigitte Schösser joined as an employee; in 2000, upon Bischofberger's retirement, she and Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Bolter took over the business and renamed it Bischofberger + Partner ZT OG. In 2010 the firm moved into a new company building on Unterfeldstraße and changed its name to Bolter + Schösser. The firm has trained apprentices in surveying technology since 2001 and has grown steadily, with a notably high proportion of women in the industry. Its services include property and land surveying, 3D laser scanning, property subdivision (Parifizierung) and Nutzwertgutachten, and mining surveying (Markscheider). Both partners are qualified Ingenieurkonsulenten für Vermessungswesen and geprüfte Markscheider, and Norbert Bolter is a court-certified expert for surveying and property subdivision. The firm is a small, privately held Austrian Ziviltechniker-OG, not listed on any stock exchange.

History

The firm traces its origins to 1949, when Dipl.-Ing. Theodor Rümmele founded the surveying office. After Rümmele's death in 1975, the office was continued by Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Günther Schelling and taken over in the same year by Dipl.-Ing. Peter Bischofberger. In 1999 Dipl.-Ing. Brigitte Schösser joined the firm as an employee. When Bischofberger retired in 2000, Brigitte Schösser and Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Bolter took over the business and changed the company name to Bischofberger + Partner ZT OG. In 2001 the firm began training apprentices, taking on its first apprentice, Magdalena Burtscher. In 2005 Norbert Bolter became a court-certified expert (gerichtlich beeideter Sachverständiger) for surveying and Parifizierung. By 2008 a steady increase in staff numbers led to a shortage of office space, prompting planning for a new company building. In 2010 the firm moved into the new building on Unterfeldstraße and changed its name to Bolter + Schösser. In 2012 long-serving employee Bernhard Perzl retired but remained in an advisory and supporting role. In 2014 the partners passed the examinations to become Markscheiderin and Markscheider at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy. By 2017, with its seventh apprentice, the firm's proportion of women had risen to almost half. The firm continues to operate as a privately held Ziviltechniker-OG in Bludenz, Vorarlberg, offering surveying, 3D laser scanning, property subdivision and mining surveying services.
