MADSACK Mediengruppe is a German media group whose core is journalism. Its 23 regional newspaper brands are rooted in their regions, and the RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (RND) is described as one of Germany's largest and most-cited media networks. Founded in 1893 as 'Hannoverscher Anzeiger A. Madsack & Co.', the publisher has grown into a nationwide media group with around 5,000 employees. It also operates the RND OnePlatform publishing platform for regional publishers, engages in digital businesses and film and television production, and offers postal and communication services.

The history of MADSACK Mediengruppe begins at the end of the 19th century. On 31 December 1892, newspaper maker August Madsack (1856–1933), who came from East Prussia, founded 'Hannoverscher Anzeiger A. Madsack & Co.' Shortly afterwards, on 28 February 1893, the Hannoversche Anzeiger — predecessor of the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung — appeared for the first time as an 'Unparteiisches Organ für Jedermann'. Over the decades, the publishing house from Hannover developed into a nationwide corporate group. In 2018 the MADSACK Mediengruppe celebrated its 125th anniversary under the slogan 'Herzschlag unserer Heimat'. Founded in 1893 as 'Hannoverscher Anzeiger A. Madsack & Co.', the publisher has continuously developed into today's nationwide media group with around 5,000 employees.
