Overview
Venturi Space Monaco is a Monegasque aerospace company. It is involved in lunar exploration, with operations in the USA and Europe. It collaborates with NASA and ESA, and is responsible for designing and manufacturing wheels, batteries, and battery management systems for lunar rovers.
History
In 2021, after two decades of innovation in terrestrial electric vehicles, Gildo Pastor, President of Venturi, steered the Group towards the space industry. He set out a dual ambition: to collaborate with both NASA and the ESA. In 2026, NASA selected the CLV-1 rover, designed by Sacha Lakic, from the American company Venturi Astrolab, Inc. Venturi Space is in charge of designing and manufacturing the wheels (in Switzerland), the batteries (in Monaco) and the battery management systems (in France). The FLIP rover will land aboard Astrobotic's lander at the lunar South Pole in late 2026. NASA announced that it has selected US-based company Venturi Astrolab as one of two providers of a crewed lunar rover for the Artemis campaign.
