Overview
Valantic GmbH is a privately held German IT services and consulting group headquartered in Munich. The company works as a consulting firm, software provider, and implementation partner for large corporations, medium-sized businesses, and publicly listed enterprises. Its capabilities span digital strategy and analytics, customer-experience management, SAP consulting and implementation, smart industries, supply-chain and production systems, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, digital workplaces, and automation for financial-services organizations. The business was established in 2012 as Dabero Service Group. During its early development it pursued a consolidation strategy, combining IT service providers and consulting firms. One notable addition was Realtime AG, a specialist in SAP systems. In 2017 the group adopted the Valantic name, and the companies brought into the group were generally rebranded under the Valantic identity. Realtime AG, for example, became Valantic ERP Services AG. Private-equity investor DPE Deutsche Private Equity Management III GmbH acquired a majority shareholding in February 2019. Founder Holger von Daniels and the broader management retained a 25% interest. Valantic continued to expand through a mixture of integration and partnership-based growth. Its international reach increased materially in 2021 with the addition of Dutch digital-commerce company ISM eCompany and Portuguese consulting firm Abaco. Belgian consulting firm C-Clear/Atom Ideas joined in 2022. Expansion accelerated in 2023. The group incorporated Danish Microsoft specialist Inspari, entered into cooperation with Bulgarian-founded Aiopsgroup, and strengthened its SAP applications business through the integration of Spanish firm Saptools. These transactions broadened Valantic’s geographic footprint and increased its ability to deliver end-to-end consulting and implementation services across SAP, Microsoft, digital commerce, and related enterprise technologies. By the end of 2023, the group reported locations in 18 countries. In November 2024 Valantic announced a merger with Danish digital consultancy Venzo, adding expertise in Microsoft technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, security, infrastructure, and organizational change. In July 2025 it announced a merger with Mannheim-based Utiligence, an SAP consultancy with a focus on the energy sector and on SAP S/4HANA and business-process digitization. Valantic describes its organization as partnership-based. Partners participate in decisions concerning corporate strategy, employee development, and acquisitions. The group also promotes a holacratic and self-organized working model rather than a strongly hierarchical structure. Acquired businesses generally retain their established operating structures while adopting Valantic’s core systems and support processes. The company has developed a substantial research and thought-leadership program around enterprise technology. Since 2018 it has published an annual study of the SAP market in German-speaking countries, covering S/4HANA migration, cloud strategies, artificial intelligence, the SAP Business Technology Platform, and related developments. From 2023 onward it also offered generative-AI services intended to help organizations apply the technology securely and in compliance with applicable requirements. For the 2024 financial year, the company reported revenue of €544 million and average employment of 3,874 people; these figures are time-specific and sourced to the company’s Wikipedia reference material.
History
Valantic began in 2012 under the name Dabero Service Group. Its initial growth model was based on bringing together specialist IT service providers and consulting firms rather than building every capability organically. This approach enabled the group to assemble expertise across enterprise software, SAP, digital commerce, analytics, and related transformation services. A significant stage in the early consolidation was the addition of Realtime AG, an SAP systems specialist. In 2017 the group adopted the Valantic name. The companies that had joined the consolidation were also progressively brought under the Valantic brand; Realtime AG, for example, was renamed Valantic ERP Services AG. The rebranding created a common market identity while allowing the operating businesses to preserve much of their specialist focus. In February 2019 DPE Deutsche Private Equity Management III GmbH acquired the majority shareholding. Holger von Daniels, the founder, and members of management retained a 25% stake. Under the new ownership structure, Valantic continued to use acquisitions and integrations as a principal growth mechanism. The company’s service portfolio developed around digital strategy and analytics, customer experience, SAP, smart industries, financial-services automation, cybersecurity, IoT, and digital work environments. Demand for customized software, IT consulting, SAP services, cybersecurity, and digital workplace solutions increased during the COVID-19 period and the economic disruption that accompanied it. Valantic used this environment to deepen its service offering and extend its geographic reach. In 2021 it integrated ISM eCompany from the Netherlands and Abaco from Portugal. In 2022 the Belgian consulting firm C-Clear/Atom Ideas joined the group. The internationalization program became broader in 2023. Danish company Inspari brought Microsoft Azure and Power Platform expertise and gave Valantic a stronger Scandinavian presence. The group also joined forces with Aiopsgroup, an international provider of online-shopping applications serving large business and consumer-facing customers. In the same year, the integration of Spanish SAP specialist Saptools expanded the SAP applications division and supported Valantic’s ambition to operate as a large European end-to-end SAP consulting and implementation house. By the end of 2023, Valantic had locations in 18 countries. Valantic announced another Nordic expansion in November 2024 through its merger with Danish digital consultancy Venzo. Founded in 2007, Venzo focused on Microsoft technologies and digital-transformation projects involving automation, artificial intelligence, security, infrastructure, and change management. In July 2025 Valantic announced the merger with Utiligence GmbH, a Mannheim consulting firm specializing in SAP technologies and serving the energy sector, including SAP S/4HANA integration and business-process digitization. The group’s operating model is described as partnership-based. Partners have a role in corporate strategy, employee development, and acquisition decisions. Valantic also promotes a holacratic approach characterized by open, self-organized work rather than a conventional management hierarchy. Newly integrated companies generally retain their original structures while adopting Valantic’s core systems and support processes. Alongside client delivery, Valantic has established a research profile. Since 2018 it has published an annual study of SAP developments in German-speaking markets. The research has examined S/4HANA migration, cloud deployment, artificial intelligence, the SAP Business Technology Platform, and enterprise data platforms. In 2023 the company began offering generative-AI services, emphasizing secure and regulation-conscious adoption for internal processes. In 2025 Valantic and the Handelsblatt Research Institute published a study on applied AI and digital business through 2030. The company reported €544 million in revenue and average employment of 3,874 for its 2024 financial year, with more than 40 locations internationally reported in the same period.
