VACE Engineering GmbH is the engineering arm of the Austrian VACE Group, a privately held services group headquartered in Linz, Austria. The group traces its origins to 1981, when VACE was founded with roots in voestalpine and was later integrated into MCE. In 2010, thirty years after its founding, VACE became fully independent under a new ownership structure. The VACE Group today operates through several pillars: Engineering Services, Digital Solutions, HR Consulting and Education Projects. VACE Engineering Services plans and designs machinery and plants, develops automation solutions, and carries out FMEA analyses. The company has implemented international projects including assembly planning and supervision, and takes on engineering tasks in plant construction, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and automation. According to its website, VACE Engineering Services has around 15 employees at its Linz location, has carried out projects in over 30 countries, has successfully completed over 410 engineering projects, and draws on around 40 years of experience in the engineering field. In June 2018, VACE Security and IT-Services merged into VACE DIGITAL SOLUTIONS, headquartered in Steyregg. Today the VACE Digital Solutions pillar comprises four business units: IT-Services, IT-Security, Compliance Management and Digital Experts. The VACE Group as a whole now operates through Engineering Services, Digital Solutions, HR Consulting and Education Projects, employing roughly 700 staff and drawing on around 40 years of engineering experience.
