Universitas Maarif Hasyim Latif (UMAHA) is a private Islamic university in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, Indonesia, operating under the Yayasan Pendidikan dan Sosial Maarif (YPM) Sidoarjo and affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama. It was established in 2014 by merging four YPM institutions: Sekolah Tinggi Teknik (STT) YPM, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) YPM, Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Hukum (STIH) YPM, and Akademi Analis Kesehatan (AAK) YPM Sidoarjo. The merger was formalized by Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Decree No. 607/O/2014 dated 17 October 2014. The university is named after K.H. Hasyim Latief, a prominent East Java ulama and founder of the Maarif education foundation, who died in 2005. UMAHA offers undergraduate and graduate programs across faculties of engineering, economics and business, health sciences, and law, plus a postgraduate school. The university was officially established by Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 607/O/2014 dated 17 October 2014, uniting the three colleges and one academy into Universitas Maarif Hasyim Latif, abbreviated UMAHA.
