In 2009, it obtained SIRIM certification for 1 kg, 2 kg, 4 kg, 6 kg and 9 kg hand portable dry chemical fire extinguishers and commenced manufacturing those extinguishers at the 31/47 property, completing its manufacturing line. From 2010 to 2012, UFI expanded its distribution and export footprint. It became an authorised distributor of Chang Der Fire Protection Corporation in 2010 and exported its products to Vietnam in 2011, its first export destination. In 2013, the company relocated its operations to its current premises in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. In the 2016–2018 period, the group achieved further certifications and secured major project references. It obtained UL certification for its Unique227 HFC fire suppression systems in 2016 and received a purchase order to supply fire suppression systems and equipment for seven underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line 1 stations in 2016. It also conformed to UL product requirements during this period.
