Unimech Group Berhad (UGB) is a Malaysian value-added engineering business group founded in 1977. It began with designing, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of industrial equipment and plants for steam generation, heating and combustion systems, fluid conveyance piping works, and maintenance and overhaul of engineering equipment. It was converted to a public company limited by shares and assumed its present name on 8 November 1996. The group later diversified into designing and manufacturing industrial and residential valves, strainers, steel flanges, pipe fittings, rubber expansion bellows, vibration absorption sheets, rollers, gaskets, and polyurethane casting and extrusion products, and established manufacturing plants and distribution centers in China. It operates through Service & Technical, Manufacturing, Trading & Marketing, and Project divisions, and holds distributorship rights for engineering equipment and components including industrial burners, boilers, thermal oil heaters, valves, gauges, and control equipment.

Unimech was founded in 1977 and grew into a leading one-stop provider of combustion and heat generation equipment as well as related piping systems. It was converted to a public company limited by shares and assumed its present name on 8 November 1996. The initial business activities included designing, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of industrial equipment and plants for steam generation, heating and combustion systems, fluid conveyance piping works, as well as maintenance and overhaul of engineering equipment and equipment parts replacement services. In line with industrial growth in Malaysia, UGB subsequently diversified into designing and manufacturing various kinds of industrial and residential valves, strainers, steel flanges, pipe fittings, rubber expansion bellows, vibration absorption sheets, rollers, gaskets, polyurethane casting and extrusion products. UGB established manufacturing plants and distribution centers in China according to their cost competitiveness and resources, and increased its research and development activities in product design and process innovation.
