Ums-Neiken Group Berhad

UMS-Neiken Group Berhad is a Malaysian investment holding company. It was incorporated as a private limited company in Malaysia on 26 April 2004 and converted into a public company by April 2006. Its subsidiaries are principally involved in the designing, manufacturing and trading of electrical wiring accessories and related electrical products. The group's operations began with the incorporation of United MS Electrical Mfg (M) Sdn Bhd (UMSE) in Malaysia on 23 December 1980, which started operations in 1981 in Batu Caves, Selangor as a manufacturer of electrical wiring accessories with around 20 employees. UMSE is both an OEM and OBM manufacturer; its OBM products carry the UMS and neiken labels and serve the industrial, residential and commercial sectors. The UMS product range is sold in Malaysia and in 26 other countries worldwide, including countries in the Middle East and Africa, Brunei and Singapore, while the neiken product range is sold mainly in overseas markets.

UMSE received several awards, including the 'Certificate of Achievement Enterprise 50' awarded by Andersen Consulting and SMIDEC in 1999, 'SIRIM Customer of the Year 2002' in 2002, the 'Golden Bull Award 2003' and 'Golden Bull Award 2004' by Nanyang Siang Pau, the 'Certificate of Achievement, Small and Medium Industries (SMI) – Best Product Award' in 2004 by the SMI Association of Malaysia, and the Best Brand Award in 2010 by Brandiaureate.
