TZMO (Toruńskie Zakłady Materiałów Opatrunkowych) is a Polish manufacturer of hygiene, medical and personal care products, headquartered in Toruń. The company was founded in 1951 as a state-owned producer of dressing materials and was privatized after 1989. Today it operates as a privately held group with a broad portfolio of brands, including the feminine care brand Bella, which is one of the leading sanitary pad brands in Central and Eastern Europe. TZMO's product range spans feminine hygiene, baby care, adult incontinence, wound care, medical dressings and cosmetic accessories. TZMO, short for Toruńskie Zakłady Materiałów Opatrunkowych (Toruń Dressing Materials Works), was established in 1951 in Toruń, Poland, as a state-owned enterprise producing medical dressings and bandages. During the socialist era it supplied the Polish healthcare system with basic wound care materials. After the political transformation of 1989, the company underwent privatization and restructuring, gradually expanding into consumer hygiene products. In the 1990s it launched the Bella brand of sanitary pads, which became its flagship consumer line and a market leader in Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries. TZMO also developed brands for baby care, adult incontinence and cosmetic accessories. The group expanded internationally through subsidiaries and distribution agreements, establishing a presence in markets across Europe, Asia and Africa. Its corporate headquarters remain in Toruń at Żółkiewskiego 20/16. TZMO continues to operate as a private company, investing in production facilities and product innovation in hygiene and medical technology.
