Overview

Tsukishima Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese holding company headquartered in Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. It is the parent of the Tsukishima Holdings Group, a machinery and engineering group whose roots date to the founding of Tokyo Tsukishima Kikai Seisakusho in August 1905. The group operates primarily in two business domains: water-environment engineering and industrial engineering. In water environment, it designs and builds sludge treatment plants for water purification and sewage treatment facilities, including dewatering, drying and incineration equipment, and participates in PFI and DBO projects. In its industrial business, it designs and constructs plants for the chemical, steel and food industries, manufactures vacuum equipment and related components, and operates municipal and industrial waste treatment businesses. The company was long known as Tsukishima Kikai Co., Ltd. (月島機械株式会社). In April 2023 it changed its name to Tsukishima Holdings Co., Ltd. and transitioned to a holding-company structure. Under this structure, the water-environment business was succeeded by Tsukishima Aqua Solution Co., Ltd. and the industrial business by the new Tsukishima Kikai Co., Ltd. (formerly Tsukishima Machine Sales Co., Ltd.). The group includes numerous subsidiaries and affiliates in Japan and overseas, such as Tsukishima JFE Aqua Solution, Tsukishima Environment Engineering, Tsukishima J-Tech Maintenance Service, San-Eco Thermal, Sanshin Kogyo, Primix, Daido Chemical Engineering, TSK Engineering (Thailand), Tsukishima Engineering Malaysia, Tsukishima Engineering Singapore, TSK Engineering Taiwan, and BOKELA GmbH in Germany. The group has a long history of international expansion, establishing sales and engineering bases in Malaysia (1991), Thailand (1993), Taiwan (1994), China (2011), and representative offices in Hanoi, Jakarta, Europe (Karlsruhe) and Mumbai. Its shares were first listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in May 1949 and were designated a First Section issue in October 1961; following the Tokyo-Osaka exchange integration in July 2013, the company's shares are now traded on the TSE Prime Market. The company is a member of the Midori-kai and belongs to the Sanwa Group. Its corporate purpose is expressed as contributing to the world through environmental technology and creating the future.
