Overview

TriF Studio (TriFスタジオ) is a Japanese animation studio headquartered in Fukuoka, Japan. It operates as part of TriF Co., Ltd. (株式会社トリフ), and its official website describes it as a Fukuoka-based animation studio producing TV anime, promotional videos (PV), music videos (MV) and commercials. The studio's work spans commissioned audiovisual projects, commercial animation production, and original animation planning. The studio began in 2012 as an independent production group called TriF. It initially focused on commissioned audiovisual projects before moving into commercial animation production. From the second half of the 2010s, it became involved in planning and producing television anime series as well as original animation works. A defining project for TriF Studio is Mecha-Ude, an original animation work whose planning and production began around 2016 and which was financed through a crowdfunding campaign. A pilot short film version was completed and released in 2018, with Hiroshi Matsuyama, president and CEO of CyberConnect2, serving as general supervisor. Mecha-Ude was later restructured as a television series, which aired and was distributed on streaming platforms in 2024. Between 2019 and 2020, the studio handled animation production for Kyoshin to Hyōka no Shiro, a promotional anime set in the city of Minamishimabara, created as part of a municipal promotion project aimed at raising the town's recognition and profile. The studio has also produced music videos, including Ano Ko Secret by Eve (2017), Starlight Kiseki by Amatsuki (2019), and Kamiari Algorithm by Masayoshi Ōishi (2021). In July 2025, TriF Studio established a business partnership with Pony Canyon. The studio maintains an official website, an entry in the Anime News Network encyclopedia, and a presence on X (formerly Twitter).
