History
Established in 2003 with the merger of the trading division of Sogem with Considar. In 2026, Traxys completed the acquisition of Comax2 AB, the parent company of Carbomax AB. In 2023, Traxys Management, Optiver, and other investors acquired all interests in Traxys Group held by Carlyle Group and affiliates of Louis M. Bacon. In 2017, Traxys acquired the Cometals division of Commercial Metals Company. In 2015, Traxys acquired Metmar Limited in South Africa.
