Tnemec Company, Inc. was founded in 1921 by Albert C. Bean, Sr. The company began producing a patented cement-filled coating formulation after a sighting of preserved steel reinforcing bars in old concrete rubble piqued the founder's curiosity. Since then, Tnemec has grown into one of the world's leading privately held manufacturers of high-performance protective coatings.
