Temple Fork Outfitters

Temple Fork Outfitters, commonly shortened to TFO, is an American fishing tackle brand that designs and manufactures fly fishing rods, reels, and accessories. The company positions itself as the original rod company to emphasize the relationship between a rod's performance and its price, aiming to offer high-end performance and sophisticated design without unnecessary features that add cost. TFO states that it manufactures each rod with total control over every step from product development through final production at its own factories, and it offers what it describes as the only full lifetime warranty in the fishing industry. The brand's product line includes fly rods such as the Legacy, Deep Eddy, Resolve, Pro III, Moment, Solution, and Tidal Force series, along with reels like the IntraCoastal and accessories. TFO rods have received recognition from the fly fishing media, including Flylords' "Best Value" and "Best In Class – Best Saltwater Fly Rod" awards in 2025, and a Fly Fishing Show Consumer Choice Award for Best Saltwater Fly Rod in 2026. The company serves both new and intermediate anglers as well as advanced saltwater and freshwater fly fishers. TFO operates through its official website and a network of dealers, and it provides service and repair for its products. Its stated goal is to provide anglers with tools properly fit to meet their needs, designed to last a lifetime, but that won't empty their pocketbooks. The brand emphasizes growing the body of fishing knowledge rather than relying on industry technobabble.

Temple Fork Outfitters was founded to serve a new breed of angler: smart, passionate, and value-conscious. From its beginnings, the company set out to be original not by being first in a literal sense, but by setting the bar and creating the standard by which an angler weighs a rod's performance against its price. In fly fishing, TFO describes itself as the first rod company to emphasize this relationship, becoming the original rod company to offer the right tools at a sound price. For more than two decades, TFO has designed fishing rods recognized for optimizing the balance between performance and price. The company focuses on high-end performance, sophisticated and elegant designs, and avoiding unnecessary accouterments that add expense and cost. TFO states that it engineers its rods to exacting standards set by some of the planet's most legendary anglers, and that it manufactures each rod with total control over every step from initial product development through final production at its own factories. This manufacturing capability allows TFO to provide what it calls the only full lifetime warranty in the fishing industry, along with exceptional service and repair. The company tests 100% of its fishing rods before they leave the factory. Its service and repair program offers quick, hassle-free solutions for broken or damaged products, including replacement sections for multi-piece rods as a fast and less costly alternative to returning a rod for service. Over the years, TFO has expanded its product line to cover a wide range of fly fishing applications, from freshwater trout and panfish to saltwater species. Recent product introductions include the Legacy series, Deep Eddy series, Resolve series, and Legacy Two Handed rods. The brand has earned recognition from fly fishing media and consumer awards, including Flylords' "Best Value" and "Best In Class – Best Saltwater Fly Rod" awards in 2025, and a Fly Fishing Show Consumer Choice Award for Best Saltwater Fly Rod in 2026. TFO continues to serve anglers through its official website, dealer network, and service and repair program.
