The channel was founded in December 1991 by Marino López Ruiz and was sold in 2000 to its current managers. It began broadcasting on DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) on 28 January 2010, 65 days before the analog switch-off. TeleVal produces a significant portion of its programming locally, focusing on Valdepeñas and nearby towns such as Manzanares, Membrilla, and San Carlos del Valle.
