TEKsystems

TEKsystems is an IT services company. Its official site presents it as bringing real-world expertise to solve complex technology and business challenges at global scale, and its Global Services arm is positioned as a partner in IT and business services covering technical strategy, design, execution and operations. The company's own history page traces its origins to Aerotek, founded in 1983 by cousins Steve Bisciotti and Jim Davis in a basement office in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, initially pairing contract employment with customer service for the aerospace engineering industry; a data services division later developed to serve the IT application development and telecommunication markets, and the company's first international operations began in England and Canada.

TEKsystems' own history page states that the company began with a vision and a passion for partnership: in 1983, cousins Steve Bisciotti and Jim Davis found themselves in a basement office in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, and saw the potential to build an innovative company combining contract engineering with superior customer service. Aerotek was born, pairing contract employment with world-class customer service to serve the aerospace engineering industry, and within its first year of operations earned over $1 million in revenue. Throughout the remainder of the 1980s, Aerotek developed several subsidiaries that expanded its offerings and footprint, including a new division to serve the IT application development and telecommunication markets; the data services division developed as the IT marketplace grew, and the company's first international operations began in England and Canada. The history page describes the 1990s as a transformative era for technology and states that TEKsystems emerges in that period.

A global-scale IT services provider and hands-on collaborator delivering technology and business transformation, with best-in-class technology and software integrations.
