History
Founded in 1873 as Ushijimaya Hardware Store by Takeuchi Sohachi. In 1901, manufactured Japan's first aluminum medicine container. In 1949, reorganized as Takeuchi Press Industries Co., Ltd. In 1956, started aluminum tube production. In 1964, started aluminum aerosol can production. In 1972, started DI-formed aluminum beverage can production. In 2000, developed the world's first aluminum bottle can.
