Take 25 Pictures GmbH was founded in 2013 by Hauke Schlichting to produce the film 'Gefällt Mir' (cinema release: October 2014). After the film made waves in the German genre scene and press, the company decided to keep distribution in-house and expanded its distribution branch. With the comedy 'Kartoffelsalat' (by and with YouTube star 'Freshtorge', cinema release: July 2015), Take 25 realized Germany's first YouTuber film, also keeping production and distribution in-house. With almost 500,000 viewers, it achieved more than just a respectable success. In early 2020, the highly praised sequel 'Kartoffelsalat 3 – Das Musical' was released in cinemas, until Corona ended its run. After a three-year shooting break, the newly formed team started shooting the comedy 'BROKE. ALONE. A kinky love story' with an official cinema release on 19.9.2024.
